Kari Samantha (born April 28, 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as she was in her teens. Her most well-known role is for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders, as well as in the role of the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble, who worked as a payroll clerk, and German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her siblings include three. As a child, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs, and then went on to sing. Kari Wuhrer, born in 1967 was an American model, performer and actor. Kari was first introduced to acting in Wooster School aged 13 before going on to study drama in the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the renowned Uta Hagen. Kari started acting at the age of a teenager. Her first break occurred in 1987, when she was introduced to MTV Remote Control.
