Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Olasio , also known as Ruiz, was born on January 10, 1993. He is known as Rauw Alejandro. He is referred to as "the King of Modern Reggaeton"[2][3and is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. His first studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The album's lead track, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. Two Latin Grammy Awards have been won by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio was born in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th January 1993. His family was born in Carolina and Canovanas. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his back-up vocalist. He was introduced to music by Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. 6. Alejandro was a part of his father's household for a long time in the United States, mostly New York City and Miami in which he was inspired by R&B and dancehall. Alejandro and Anuel who was a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were close friends from childhood. They both attended the same school and took part in classes. [9][10] Alejandro was part of school talent shows as a child since he was a lover of dancing. After graduation from high school Alejandro began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico. He was a soccer player between six and twenty. He eventually resigned because he was unable to perform as expected. He moved to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted for a spot in the Premier Development League (PDL), but eventually was unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro's music style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also likes rhythmic pop and ballads. Billboard said that it's helped "set him apart from the growing group of pop-leaning reggaetoneros". [23] He was influenced early on by Presley and Jackson and later, Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, and Chris Brown. He also mentions Ciara as an inspiration for his music.
